At the beginning of the month I read that the baby will double in size the 6th month- and they were right! I think my tummy has grown so much this month! We get our last ultrasound next week so we'll see how big he really is- He is moving all the time- It is so much fun to feel him rolling around in there. He seems pretty active- but this is my first time so I have nothing to compare it to! Only 3 months now and we'll have a baby in our arms! (We did run into our friend this weekend and her baby came 5 weeks early! Unbeliveable- and they were totally surprised- but we are not counting on that... I still need 3 months!)
I am not a huge fan of pregnancy pictures- but I hear I'll like them some day! 16 weeks compared to 26 weeks.

Early Christmas Present
We went to Costco- dangerous! We were walking by and saw this beautiful cherry king sleigh bed. It was the last one so they marked it super low and were just trying to get rid of it! You could see every single person that walked by was so tempted to get it because the price was so unbelievable! So we are the suckers that walked out of there with a new bed frame- which just meant one thing- we would be forced to by a new mattress as well (and sheets, and all that!) Drew did some shopping around and found the deal of the century on a new mattress! Mattress Depot- I highly recommend it! It is so crazy though just hopping from mattress to mattress trying to decide which one you prefer! There are tons of choices! But we picked out the most amazingly comfortable mattress ever! Costco has great prices on mattresses but this place beat costco by half! Crazy huh! Then I didn't feel so terrible in having Drew talk me into buying a new bed- we just said it is our early Christmas present. Now he wants a nice flat screen to go on the wall in our bedroom so we can watch movies from our comfy new bed...
Drew's Birthday Week!
I love birthdays and we got to celebrate Drew's last birthday in his twenties! Can you believe it! Friday night was an important Yankees game so I made sure not to plan anything over that. Drew specifically told me what games he wanted to see over the weekend- and to schedule accordingly.
Friday night I showed drew part of his present- a huge air tank! He had absolutely no idea. I was laughing so hard- So right before we went to bed I showed him another part- A huge box of paintballs- he got it that time! I then told him he better hurry and fall asleep because the boys would be at our house at 6:30 the next morning! Drew isn't a morning person- the only thing I see him jump out of bed excited for is if we are going on a trip super early or he is going shooting- I assumed this would fall under the same category as shooting- and it did. So the boys went out and didn't come back until almost noon. I got to hear all about the crazy games they played- civil war- you just line up across from each other and shoot! gauntlet- it is just you and as soon as you are running inbetween the two trees all the other guys are allowed to shoot!... Drew had tons of fun and showed me all his welts.
That afternoon was the Utah game. Then we went out to dinner with a bunch of people at Texas Roadhouse. Drew didn't even seem to mind when they put him on the saddle so we could sing happy birthday- he just jumped on and started riding! We went to Nick and Nat's after to play games and have floats. I made up a list of questions about Drew to see who knew him best- including favorite baseball player, how often he takes baths, football/baseball numbers, what he knows how to cook... it was pretty funny! Then we played battle of the sexes- as if the girls would know Tiger Woods real first name, and what you put inside a car's hydraulic system... The boys won that game!
Sunday was low key- just me and Drew. Monday we left work early and went to a 4:00 movie! Drew's birthday wouldn't be complete with going to a movie! Then we did dinner-just the two of us. I had a book printed of all our pictures from Yankee stadium- he has it displayed in his Yankees' office. I finally got him an mp3 player- he hates running without one!

Isn't it Grand?
We went on a quick trip over Labor Day Weekend and headed north. We went to the Grand Canyon. It was kinda our first- the last time both of us went was when we were really little, so we don't really remember it. I have always wanted to hike it and go to the waterfalls- but haven't managed to do that yet- and with a baby on the way I imagine I won't be doing that hike any time soon. But we drove around with Shaun and Ammie and got to see tons from above. It was beautiful- and Drew just kept saying "isn't it grand?" He didn't like if I would even get 10 feet away from any edges!
Not sure if anyone has played the game sorry in a while- but we borrowed it from the front desk. It was fun. I had the worst luck ever and I couldn't even get out to go around the board for at least the first half of the game- it was quite shocking! But eventually I managed, I came in last- but it was fun to play! And no matter how disappointed you were if you got sent back to the beginning the person always said "sorry!" so you just can't get upset- and you do it right back any way!
The hotel we stayed at had a wonderful breakfast- I was really quite surprised. But my pregnant tummy definitely appreciated it.
Monday morning we went fishing! Well by the time we got out to the lake it was around 10 so it wasn't exactly early morning- and I hear that is the best time to fish. The lake was gorgeous and the weather was perfect! Fishing is kinda tricky- You either have to sit there and wait and wait, or you have to constantly cast and reel it in fast so your spinners are going. I would like something in between- but Drew said there isn't anything really like that. I guess the only thing like that would be if the fish are biting like crazy then you don't have to wait long and you get the excitement of reeling the fish in- but I did not experience that- maybe next time. I have a cute pink fishing rod now so we can whenever!
We went to downtown flagstaff and it is a cool town. Artistic! they even had an art fair- and there were some very talented photographers and potters selling stuff. I loved seeing it all. The town has redone some very old buildings and they look awesome- old but new!
On the drive home we saw a sign for Montezuma's castle so we decided to exit. We didn't know how far away it was or anything- but we weren't in a rush so we went for a little detour. It was really close and it was cool to walk around and see this "castle" that they built into the side of the rock- I can't imagine having to climb so many ladders each day just to get out. But I guess they never even went more than a mile out from their house- weird to imagine living like that. Just living every day to survive and prepare for the next day. No random fun trips or just taking fun vacations!

pre-baby life
So I don't have anything major to blog about. College football season is here and Drew is just happy as can be if he gets to watch football all day on saturday! And I really don't mind- he still gets some stuff done around the house- so I can't complain- and I even sit down and watch some games with him. But of course not this weekend- we got to watch conference instead- and as always conference was amazing! I don't know if you are really supposed to have favorite gospel principles- but I do! and living prophets and apostles is one of the things on my top 5 things that I love about the gospel. to hear these men- who are just that- normal men, who have applied themselves and been called to bear witness of our Savior is so inspiring. I love it!
I went in for my normal checkup- and Gehrig is doing great. I'm quite interested to see what happens in month 6- apparently this month he is going to double in size! Hopefully my belly won't double in size and he just fills out that belly I already developed. My belly button has already lost any possible attribute of an innie or even a middie and I must admit I am not looking forward to the possibility of a full blown outie! It is so fun to feel him moving all the time now. Drew even gets to feel it now- before it was faint and far between so he would barely get to feel it- now it is like he is doing all sorts of stunts and just rolling around in my belly so you can easily feel him.
I am really excited for my next dr's visit at the end of the month. They are doing one more ultrasound so we can see how the baby is growing! That will be so fun. I love comparing the pictures of the first two ultrasounds and he is going to probably look huge this time! I still feel really clueless about this whole baby thing- I have so much to learn and prepare for- and I will still be clueless! I'm glad I like to read. I also have to sign us up for a birthing class so we have a clue what to do! so much to do and less than 4 months left... it does seem kinda weird when I think that it will no longer be just the two of us- I love just having Drew all to myself. Don't get me wrong I am ecstatic to be having a baby- but at times I'm sure I will appreciate the memories we made of just the two of us in our pre-baby life!

Picture of Joseph Smith?
I was sent an email with this photograph that is supposed to be Joseph Smith. I looked at all sorts of youtube videos about it (I definitely didn't find anything official on it- just speculation, no prophets or apostles are saying it is or anything)- I even came across a few more pictures reported to be Joseph Smith- I didn't care too much for the other ones- but I really love this photograph. So it might not be him, but I kinda think it is and thought someone else might like seeing the picture.
Here was the best video about the picture- just don't bother reading all those anti comments at the bottom.

it's a BOY!!!
Friday we found out that the little thing growing inside of me is a BOY! I was so excited when my dr wanted to do an ultrasound at 18 weeks instead of the typical 20 weeks. Drew just couldn't wait to find out. He kept telling me that I was the mother and I should just know what we were having. He always wanted me to guess- but I wouldn't. I just figured I would wait until the ultrasound and not start guessing. On Friday morning he told me that we were definitely having a girl. He said that he had another dream that it was a boy- so he knew he was too emotionally involved and it would be a girl.
When we started the ultrasound it was so cute- his face was all big just looking straight up! Then she asked us if we wanted to know if it was a boy or girl and we told her we definitely did. So she moved on down and then said- looks like its gonna be a boy. She said it so quietly though that I didn't think Drew heard her since he was sitting behind her. I was just smiling and laughing and looked at Drew had pretty much already noticed it on the screen but he turned to her to confirm what he thought he saw and what he hoped he had heard. Then she wrote up on the screen- boy! After that she went through and checked all the other essential parts- it was so neat seeing the heart, kidneys, they check it all. The little feet were so cute too!
We had a little sex party that night with some family announcing that it was a boy. The majority were guessing girl since they said Drew wasn't excited enough for it to be a boy- but he was just playin it cool. To announce it Drew hid a blue balloon under his shirt and after all the guesses were in he pulled it out!
It is so fun to officially know- now Drew and I just have to agree on how we want to decorate the baby's room! Oh and the official name is Gehrig. (after Lou Gehrig- for those of you that don't know who that is he is a very famous Yankee baseball player- arguably the best ever- and Drew's favorite.)

Keith Urban
Drew got me tickets to see Keith Urban for our anniversary! The concert was so much FUN! He puts on a great show- quite entertaining. He would even leave the stage during some songs and go sing in the middle of the crowd on little mini stages. He changed guitars every song and even had one that would light up when he played it- it was crazy. He is an amazing guitarist- a rocker at heart if it weren't for all those romantic songs he writes! Tons of awesome guitar solos where he would just rock out. They were running all over the stage. Who ever does his lighting and stage effects does a great job. He even did two songs for his encore. It was so cool.
San Diego
We took a little trip to San Diego- Drew has wanted to go there since we got married and since we are going to have a baby we decided we should probably get around to doing that sooner rather than later. We drove out early Friday morning- poor Drew had to drive while I slept for a few more hours. We went to Sea World first. The weather was amazing! And the animals were crazy. The dolpins did all sorts of flips and we got soaked watching them. The killer whale show was super cheasy but of course was so impressive how massive those things are and all the jumps and stuff they were doing. The sea lion show was pretty funny. I think I loved the pet show the best- the dogs were doing all sorts of fun tricks and they even had cats they had trained that were doing stuff. (If Lucy weren't already old and blind I would have tried to start teaching her stuff for sure- but she is super smart and I am already impressed with how much she does- I love my cat! Drew doesn't feel the same.) The shipwreck rapids was so fun- we waited until the end of the day hoping the lines would be shorter- but they weren't. We got drenched! If the ride itself wasn't getting us wet enough there were people along the path who paid money to shoot us with those little machines- and they did a good job- we were seriously doused. The lady across from us just kept laughing at me the whole time.
When we checked into our hotel they told us they didn't have the room that we reserved- so they decided to upgrade us! It was by far the hugest and nicest hotel room we have ever stayed in. A big suite on the top floor- it was awesome!
Saturday we got to see lots of San Diego and even went to the air and space museum. It was cool. There was a magazine at the hotel that told of the tops spots to go- so I followed the advice and we went to this one restaurant called Nicky's. Drew was excited because the Yankees game was on. This restaurant had the best burgers ever! I also tried out this little cup cake shop- but it just couldn't compare to the one in New York. We went to the Padres game- Got great seats. The stadium is really cool.
Sunday morning we went for a morning walk on the beach. Then we headed to church. After church we went to the temple- since it was closed we couldn't even walk on the grounds! Just had to look at it from the street. But it was so beautiful- that was my first time ever seeing it.

Our first Ultrasound
We got to see our baby! It was so exciting. Hearing the hearbeat and seeing the little thing up on the screen. It was just rolling around the whole time! They gave us a dvd of it- I watched it like 5 more times that night.
The dr said everything looked great and he told me that I should be feeling great in the second trimester so we should go on as many trips as we could. Drew had absolutely no problem with this.

4th of July- in Utah
We decided to get out of the heat so we could actually watch the fireworks and go outside- so we headed up to Utah. The first morning we went on a quad ride with Drew's friend Kent. It was gorgeous- being up in the mountain- all green- the early morning dew still out. The fresh air and the smell of summer that Drew is always telling me about. (drew just told me I have to write that I want to move to Utah as soon as we can get out of our house.) We had high hopes of going to Lagoon- but I would have never made it- I don't know how I was so exhausted after just a couple hours of quad riding but I would have died. That night we went to a Rodeo- the only person that we could convince to go was Drew's mom- Peggy. It was so fun to hang out with her and we were so glad she came with us.
Saturday morning Drew went golfing with his dad, Lowell :) and brother, Aaron while I went and got a pedicure with Peggy, Tara, and Ashley. I LOVE pedicures. We went to park City and got Lowell to ride the coaster! Lowell is so funny. Drew kept teasing him that he would be screaming the whole time- so he kept it in- I for sure screamed more. We always laugh our heads off riding that thing. Peggy went down the alpine slide. Sadly she didn't get the best sled so it was pretty slow- I went after her and caught up to her. I kept yelling for her to go faster cuz I thought she was putting on the brakes- but she wasn't.
We got to shoot off fireworks- I haven't done that since I lived in Tennessee. We tried to go watch the big fireworks up at BYU and we got to see the tail end of it.
Sunday was Elle's blessing so everyone came over to Aaron and Amy's. It was a beautiful blessing and so fun. We also got to go on our Sunday walk- Drew hates doing it at home cuz it is still so hot- but Utah was perfect for the evening stroll.

Girls' Camp
On our actual one year anniversary I was at Girls' Camp! It is kinda different here they go Saturday to Wednesday. I was over evening programs with another sister. It was so much fun. Our first task was to decorate the stage area- which my partner told me had to be really impressive. I didn't have any super creative ideas- but everyone was actually really impressed and I guess it turned out pretty good- I don't have anything to compare it to since this was my first time since I was a teenager.
I got to stay in the cabin with all the leaders- and let me tell you those women can be pretty crazy! It was lots of fun and although I actually felt kinda lame because I didn't stay up super late every night (That whole being tired when you are pregnant really is true!)
Every night we had to take care of the big activity and it was so much fun. Sunday turned out really great and we heard lots about it in the testimony meeting. We did a musical fireside with a video that coordinated with the music- a Nashville Tribute to the Prophet Joseph Smith. Loree made the video- it was amazing. On skit night I didn't have anything super funny as far as being the MC for inbetween the skits so I taught the girls a dance that I learned when I was a teenager- It was crazy how when I started to do it I didn't even have to think about it- it is second nature to me. Sharissa and I had to have done that dance hundreds of times before.
It was fun getting to know the girls in our ward better- since I'm not in YW I hardly know any of them- and they are so fun!

Trip to Sedona
For our one year anniversary we took a trip to Sedona. We stayed at this beautiful time share we bought off someone. It was quite funny- we told them it was our one year so they tried to put us in the best view available- but they warned us a million times that there would be lots of stairs. Since we are young and in decent shape we figured it wouldn't be a huge problem- it was shocking but the stairs were absolutely no big deal! They must have so many high maintenace people that come because they kept warning us on lots of stuff and they were all 100% not a big deal.
We bought a truck while we were up there! Red Toyota Tundra. We met the lady a couple hours north of Sedona. The truck is everything drew hoped and dreamed of. and his constant looking on auto trader and craigslist really paid off. We got the deal of the century and Drew couldn't be more excited. The lady was super sweet- it was her husband's truck and he had recently passed away. She wanted to make sure that it got a good home and would continue to be babied- And Drew is definitely keeping that promise.
We went to a few art shops of course- there is some amazing stuff up there. I loved looking at all the different stuff and many styles. It was one of those reminders that makes me sad that I don't do art except on rare occasions. Drew is always trying to get me to do it more often and the only pieces I've finished in the past two years have both been presents for him. He does a great job of being supportive and making me feel like I have a wonderful talent.

We went to Out of Africa- it is crazier than any zoo I've ever been to. I highly recommend it to anyone. They do this Tiger splash where these trainers are jumping and playing and teasing full grown tigers in the pool. It is like playing with fire- but it was fun for everyone to watch- you would have to be crazy to do it. Drew loved the predator feed- they take the truck all around the park and throw huge chunks of meet to the animals. The male lions were the craziest. They got pretty intense. We are convinced that if those animals really wanted to get out of those fenced in areas they most certainly could.
It was a wonderful and fun trip! And a great celebration to an AMAZING first year together. Marriage is awesome!

Two pink stripes!
That's right- we're having a BABY! On our anniversary trip we made a run to the store and I told Drew I had to pick up an anniversary present for him... so we went and grabbed a test (I bought a two pack- just to be sure) Since it was his present he got to look first! And both stripes showed up! (not that you can see both in the low resolution of this picture above- but its there.)Drew definitely wants a boy- so he can protect his younger sisters of course. I am fine either way- but it is fun to get Drew all worked up when I refer to the baby as "she". We are so excited.

New York City!!! Best vacation ever!
Drew and I put all the money we got as wedding presents aside in our vacation fund! And thanks to all the people we love who are so generous we were able to go to New York City! It was non-stop fun, I can't remember the last time I was so exhausted.
Friday- we flew out at 6:00am- Drew's dad was in town and was so nice to bring us to the airport at 4:15 in the the morning. We arrived at our hotel around 4:00pm- It was a great location, right on Time Square and right next to the Subway entrance that we became very familiar with. We headed out to the museum of modern art and of course grabbed a slice of New York Pizza! I also grabbed the umbrella- just in case- and it was a good thing we had it. It started raining so hard. The museum was so packed- people weren't leaving because they were waiting for the rain to ease up a bit and everyone was coming in to get out of the rain. The museum is pretty cool- there is lots of that weird modern art- but there was some very impressive pieces. I got to see Monet's waterlilies- the piece was probably 30 feet long- that was cool. The special exhibits that were there were really cool. I can't quite describe it but this guy welded all sorts of thin small metal pieces together and it looked awesome. After that we hit up time square- that place is packed all hours of the night.
Saturday- We headed up town into the bronx to see the new Yankee stadium and see them play the Angels. The stadium is immaculate- well worth the 1.3 billion spent. We went early so we could get in when the gates opened. Got to see monument park and were there for batting practice. I was standing down by the wall and drew was several isles up from me in right field. We were hoping to catch a homerun and one was hit right to Drew- unfortunately he wasn't wearing his glove- so he tried to catch it with his hand and that didn't quite work- so it hit him in the chest and then fell to the ground behind him where he and this other guy tried to fight over the ball- the other guy had it but drew was trying to get in from him- but gave up after a few seconds. Luckily I got one of the outfielder's to throw me one- not quite as cool as catching it- but there is no way I could have caught one of those- I can't even catch them with a glove! Our seats were awesome- not only were they pretty close down the 1st base line- but they were padded! they were so comfy. The game was fun even though we didn't win. That night we went to Cirque du solei- Kooza, it was the most entertaining thing we have ever seen. It is pretty much this huge circus tent- but small enough that pretty much every seat around the round stage is a good seat. From the crazy tight rope to unbelievable juggling to nerve racking trapeze to dancing and acrobats to the hurt your back as you watch the contortionists doing the wildest things ever, it was awesome. Even the inbetween "story" was quite funny and we loved every second of it. we tried to go to crumbs- this amazing cupcake shop after- but it was already closed. We did get to so some more walking though and see grand central station and other cool stuff. There was this guy on time square who was doing these awesome paintings with spray paint. It was so cool to sit and watch him. I didn't have any where to hang his painting- otherwise I would have bought one because it was so fun to sit there and watch him do the whole thing in 15 minutes.
Sunday- We went to the ward there which meets in the same building as the temple. Wish I could have seen more of it from the outside- but it was raining pretty hard. The inside was beautiful though. After that- even though it was raining we walked around central park- which was huge- we didn't even make a dent and we were in there for hours. I was kinda sad though because I've always heard about all the street performers and I didn't get to see any. But there are lots of cool bridges just like in the movies. We went to Mickey Mantle's restaurant. It was cool- lots of memorabillia everywhere. Didn't get to sit in Mickey's booth but sat right next to it. Drew isn't too big on food- but you should have heard him after he tasted his chicken parmigian. He absolutely loved it, he was just dying, it was so delicious. On our way back to the hotel we saw that Time Square was blocked off- they were filming a movie- Socerer's apprentice- kindy iffy about the name, but it has Nicholas Cage- so maybe it will be pretty good. There is a racing scene down time square. We saw on the news the next morning that the ferrari had gone out of control and hit a pole that hit a pedestrian- who shouldn't have been there. We also saw on the plane ride home that another night the camera car went out of control and 8 people were injured that time! They were there all week filming from midnight to 6:00am- so we got to see lits bits here and there. One of the nights we got to see the actual racing- it is fun to watch the whole moving making process.
Well I am only half way through writing about the trip and this is already a mile long post! so here is a quicker rundown of other cool stuff:
Bodies exhibit- just like the body worlds where they have actual humans that died and they were able to preserve their bodies so you can see all sorts of amazing things like just the nervous system, or the veins, muscles, bones, you name it- we saw it. It was fascinating. the body is imaculate and such a wonderful gift we have. My favorite part was seeing the fetus- it showed what it looked like at 5 weeks, 11, 14, etc. It was really neat to see.
Central Park Zoo- the rainforest was really cool. there were birds just flying all around us.
Crumbs- best cupcake I've ever had! baba bouie mmmmm!
Serendipity- frozen hot chocolate- oh it is delicious!
Cheesecake- ate lots of it- from different places- they know how to make cheesecake out there. they were all so good- favorite was from carnegie deli.
Statue of Liberty- that was beautiful- how cool it would have been if we could still go up inside it. but it was pretty from the outside too.
Yankees vs Red Sox- that was fun- there was a two hour delay because of rain so we didn't get back to our hotel until 2am. You should have seen how excited the crowd was when they finally came out to take the tarp off the field. Got to see some sweet homeruns and the last inning was super intense. Bottom of the 9th- down by 2. bases loaded 2 outs- full count, everyone out of their seats and cheering- and we lost! too bad. Yankees games the people that sit in the bleachers are called the bleacher creatures- they do all sorts of cheers- but my favorite is roll call- at the beginning of each game they go around the field and cheer each players name until the player acknowledges them and then they move to the next player until they have done everyone. It is fun. Everyone is pretty into the game. Rain isn't too bad to sit in. Ponchos keep you pretty warm. Our seats that night were on the front row of the section right above the suites. I even painted my own banner and hung it over the edge.
Yankees vs Red Sox #2- we decided to hit up one more Yankee's game- since the other game had a poor turn out because of the rain we wanted to get the full effect of the rivalry so we went to one more game. Chamerlin pitched- and although he gave up 4 runs in the beginning he went on to strike out 12 times- breaking a personal record. Texeria hit a home run from both sides of the plate- and Damon hit another homerun too! It was fun!
Shopping- pretty much any store that had any thing Yankee's in it- drew wanted to see. I don't think he cared to buy anything else- just yankee's stuff- not that we can fit any more in the office as it is.
Lots of other stuff- but pretty much it was the best vacation ever. Lots of fun memories.
Click here to see our love story video!
This is the link to our love story- how we met, proposal, and everything.
Updating our blog
Drew always tells me I need to update our blog. (it is the girl's job to do it.) After 7 months I finally added a few posts. He also told me to make sure I actually write stuff and not just put pictures and videos up. Now that we have church at 9 we are going to try to update it regularly on Sunday afternoons. Maybe we will get better at taking pictures too. I'll get around to putting other links on the side and music and all that fancy stuff- but this is all for today.
Katee's 26th Birthday!
So birthdays are a really big deal to me. Drew totally surprised me though- he kept acting like he didn't have anything planned! The Saturday before my birthday he took me out to dinner at Cheesecake Factory- and completely surprised me- with about 20 family and friends. It was great. Food was fantastic! Then we went back to our house (I had to clean it up a bit- he said it would have given it away if he had started cleaning up all the stuff from a hair appointment I had earlier!) But since I love games Drew planned some- a fun original one. We tied a marshmallow to about 2 feet of string and without using your hands you had to chew the string until you got the marshmallow in your mouth. We did the boys and girls separate- Drew and I both won! It's all in the biting technique- no tongue and no gagging on the string.
Then my siblings and I did a chubby bunny contest! I think our mouths are bigger than average! I can't even remember how many Thad got- but he definitely had the most. We also watched a little Brian Regan- that always makes my stomach hurt I laugh so hard.
On my actual birthday Drew took me out to eat at a cool restaraunt up in scottsdale. The steak was delicious. Then he took me to Gainey Ranch and we did the romantic Gondola ride. It was perfect weather. I loved every second of it. After that we hung around for a bit and stuck our feet in the pool. It was fun being there- we stayed there our first 3 nights as a married couple. Last time we were there and ate at the restaurant we had the most refreshing water ever. I can't even describe how cool and crisp and delicous it was. We tried to get a bottle to go- but they recycle the bottles or something so you can't buy it to take home. So if you are ever there we highly recommend the water. the creme brule is good too! My birthday was awesome and Drew is the best husband ever! My favorite present was an electric toothbrush- I have been wanting one of those forever!

Valentines Weekend Getaway
Since Valentines was on a Saturday and we had the following Monday off work we got to do a little valentines trip! I've never tried to rent a cabin on valentines weekend before so I was not prepared for how hard it was going to be to find a cabin only a week in advance. After much searching I finally found one available. I found a quaint cabin in Show low. We left right after work on Friday. The cabin was awesome. Cute fireplace- I kept turning it on- even if we weren't cold, I thought it was quite nostalgic. We had a very relaxing weekend and even went for a little trip into town. We had to drive a while to find a movie theater, and when we got in we had to sit in the 2nd row because the place was packed! I've never been so close to a screen before- We were probably 10 feet from the screen. Drew was sad that he no longer has a quad or a truck- there were tons of cool trails. We just had to stay on the street and enjoy the view from there. Drew grilled some fabulous steak. He also bought me the most beautiful flowers. He bought them for me on Wednesday since we were going to be leaving town- but I took them up to the cabin. They actually lasted a few weeks. I would just pull out the roses as they wilted since the lilies were still blooming. It was by far the best Valentines I've ever had.
White Christmas
We went to Utah for Christmas! Drew never wanted to come home. I have never been in so much snow in my life. It was beautiful! We went sledding with Aaron and his kidos. Tied two sleds behind his truck and drove mach 1 in a field. When there were no kids and Drew was driving I thought I was going to die! Luckily a rock hit Aaron in the forehead instead of me- and even luckier he was the brave one who bailed so Drew finally stopped. I didn't dare jump off when we were going so fast. It was really fun though. We got to play in the snow a lot. It didn't even hurt when Drew would full on tackle me.
Drew also decided to take me skiing for my first time ever. We decided to just go in the late afternoon. Let's just say the best part was that I got to ride a snowmobile! I never made it down- after a few hours on the TOP of the mountain I finally started walking and since the resort was closing they picked me up. Then I rode the ski lift down the rest of the way. But it was beautiful and I wasn't cold. Next time I'll just have to go with someone that will teach me how to snowplow... Drew said no wife of his was allowed to snowplow.
